The 4th annual 4-Club Challenge, Saturday 6th September (2:00-2:37pm)

Hi all,

I would like to invite you all to enter The 4th Annual 4-Club Challenge - to be held on Saturday 6th September – tee times from 2:00-2:37pm.

For those keen to play - please let me know ASAP as we are limited to 24 players for this event and I will need to book additional times ASAP if required.

The rules are pretty straightforward, and just the same as last year:

1. 18 holes, individual Stableford competition, played with FULL handicap allowance from the white tees.

2. Each player must select 4 clubs to play the round, which MUST include a putter.

3. Players may not carry any additional clubs during the round, and must be ready to play on the 1st tee at the tee-time shown (a draw will be published) with their chosen 4 clubs already selected.

Entry fee will be £5, with prize money to the top scorers.

As we are sharing the course with others, an afternoon tee time has been selected to avoid infuriating the locals - as playing with just 4 clubs can be a little more challenging than the usual 14!

It is important that we maintain a good pace of play, and the Stableford format has been chosen for this reason. If you reach a situation that you are not in a position to score a point on any given hole and are potentially holding up play, then please pick up your ball.

As before, it is hoped this will provide the ideal opportunity to have a not-to-serious friendly game, and perhaps get to know a few faces from the group whom we are not familiar with.

Congratulations to Christie who successfully defended the title he won last year with a superb 40 points!!

Graeme and Dorian shared 2nd place with 36 points each. A special mention to Graeme who pulled out an extraordinary back nine of 23 points to make the winners circle.
