The 5th annual 4-Club Challenge, Saturday 3rd October (2:00-2:37pm)

Hi all,

I would like to invite you all to enter The 5th Annual 4-Club Challenge - to be held on Saturday 3rd October – tee times confirmed, from 2:00-2:37pm.

For those keen to play - please let me know ASAP as we are strictly limited to 24 players for this event.

The rules are pretty straightforward, and just the same as last year:

1. 18 holes, individual Stableford competition, played with FULL handicap allowance from the white tees.

2. Each player must select 4 clubs to play the round, which MUST include a putter.

3. Players may not carry any additional clubs during the round, and must be ready to play on the 1st tee at the tee-time shown (a draw will be published) with their chosen 4 clubs already selected.

4. The winner is the player with the highest Stableford points total. If leading players are tied, then the winner will be declared on countback (best inward half -- best last 6 -- best last 3 -- best last hole).

Entry fee will be £5, with prize money to the top scorers.

As we are sharing the course with others, an afternoon tee time has been selected to avoid infuriating the locals - playing with just 4 clubs can be a little more challenging than the usual 14!

It is important that we maintain a good pace of play, and the Stableford format has been chosen for this reason. If you reach a situation that you are not in a position to score a point on any given hole and are potentially holding up play, then please pick up your ball.

As before, it is hoped this will provide the ideal opportunity to have a not-to-serious friendly game, and perhaps get to know a few faces from the group whom we are not familiar with.
