The 3rd Annual 4-Club Challenge, Saturday 7th September, tee booked 12:22-12:45

Hi all,

I would like to invite you all to enter The 3rd Annual 4-Club Challenge!

For those keen to play - please let me know ASAP as unfortunately we are limited to a maximum of 20 players.

The tee is booked between 12.22 and 12.45 on Saturday 7th September.

The rules are pretty straightforward, and just the same as last year:

1. 18 holes, individual stableford competition, played with FULL handicap allowance from the yellow tees.

2. Each player must select 4 clubs to play the round, which MUST include a putter.

3. Players may not carry any additional clubs during the round, and must be ready to play on the 1st tee at the tee-time shown (a draw will be published) with their chosen 4 clubs already selected.

Entry fee will be £5 as usual, with prizes determined by the number of entries.

As we are sharing the course with others, an afternoon tee time has been selected to avoid infuriating the local - as playing with just 4 clubs can be a little more challenging than the usual 14!

It is important that we maintain a good pace of play, and the Stableford format has been chosen for this reason. If you reach a situation that you are not in a position to score a point on any given hole and are potentially holding up play, then please pick up your ball if you are holding up play behind you. The groups following us will be visiting societies, therefore I don’t anticipate much pressure from the groups behind us.

As before, it is hoped this will provide the ideal opportunity to have a not-to-serious friendly bash, and perhaps get to know a few faces from the group whom we are not familiar with.

Congratulations to Christie - this year's Champion - with an astonishing 41 points!!! Alex, winner in 2011, finished in 2nd with a terrific 37 points.
